Meet The Experts:
Tammey J. Sullivan is President of HealthCare Benefit Services, Inc. She has specialized in Long Term Care Insurance since 1988, and has been a certified instructor for the state of Colorado teaching the required Continuing Education course in LTC since 1994. She now teaches, and wrote the material for the required 16 hour Long Term Care training course. Tammey currently holds Certified Long Term Care Advisor and Certified Senior Advisor designations. Tammey is also a charter member and Vice President of the Long Term Care Forum of Colorado, a non-profit organization that meets with top Colorado officials to promote Long Term Care Planning with community groups, legislators and government organizations. She is also a member of the Colorado Division of Insurance Producers Advisory Council. Tammey has been invited to be a keynote speaker for NAELA (National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys), and was also a key speaker in Colorado Governor Bill Ritter’s “Own Your own Future campaign”, at the state capital. Tammey has amassed more than 1,000 personal clients and takes pride in helping with filing claims and working with family members, recommending convalescent care facilities, and interfacing with the claims departments of carriers. Tammey’s father suffered from Alzheimer’s disease until passing away in 2008, her 92 year old mother and 95 year old mother-in-law are both currently receiving home health care services, amplifying in a very personal way how important Long Term Care insurance is to one’s family. Tom Sullivan, Medicare Manager, has dual degrees in Marketing and Finance from the University of Northern Colorado. He brings to HealthCare Benefit Services 24 years of management experience from the private sector, and has been a Medicare expert for over 9 years. Working with CPA’s, Financial Planners and Health Brokers, Tom is a trusted name and receives many referrals from professionals wanting to ensure their clients will receive the top-notch advice and understand their Medicare options. Tom keeps his clients updated annually with all Medicare changes and updates, and shows how these changes will be affecting your coverage, and your premiums. Tom will help decipher your inundation of information and make sure that you fully understand the “wonderful world of Medicare” when entering the program. He will explain how your coverage will affect your personal medical needs, from what doctor you can see, to the exact cost of your prescription drugs.

Penny Haydt, Administrator, is the “backbone” of HealthCare Benefit Services. Penny is a graduate from Rapid City Central High School, attended Metropolitan State College, and has been a Colorado resident for over 30 years. Penny handles processing of all applications, enrolls producers in the Long Term Care Licensing and CE classes, trouble-shoots problems with producers and clients, and will be the person that greets you when calling our office. With over 20 years of administrative and customer service experience in the finance industry, Penny has brought professionalism and quality-care to HealthCare Benefit services for the past five years. Penny is happily married with two adult children.
